Najibullah Shinwaray, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Region Independent Development Authority (CRIDA), has a three-decade-long experience of successful work with a number of prominent national and international organizations and studied in prestigious domestic and foreign higher education institutions.
After his primary and secondary education in Kabul, he earned his first undergraduate degree in construction engineering from Peshawar University. His passion for education and skill development drove him to do his second Bachelor's degree in law and political science at Kabul University during the period of Taliban rule.
He earned his first master’s degree in Public Administration from Mahatma Gandhi University, a prestigious Indian higher education institution, and did his second graduate degree in law at Kateb University.
In addition, he also participated in a number of short-term training programs conducted by international organizations, including the World Bank.
Mr. Shinwaray has been working for 30 years at the leadership level of some national and international entities including but not limited to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, USAID, IRD and C-LOTTI. He had been working as Program Deputy at the National Development Company before his appointment as CEO of Capital Region Independent Development Authority.
Besides the national languages of Afghanistan, Pashto and Dari, he is fluent in English.
